The last two months have given me the opportunity to not only think and write about the responsibilities of black belt, but all the responsibility that humility testsyour, your mental restructuring process, your daily attitude, your mindset as an athlete and martial artist, your grace with other students, emotional maturity, and throughout all the responsibility, while pursuing the path of purpose BJJ black belt.
Responsibility
This does not come with a black belt. This is a responsible autonomous responsibility. This originates in the white belt, and evolves at blue belt and purple. The brown belt is the maturation process of research, and understand and accept your leadership roles that are more and more. Or to be more and more.
I have to catch a lot with some of my coaches John Masters, Rigan and Carlos Machado lately, and have also taken up their views and philosophy of many views BJJ.
The weekend of December 12, 2009 I had my quarterly seminar under the house. My participants have quarterly seminars for my academy and association academies across Texas. My coach and mentor Master Carlos Machado had learned three months ago at my academy. He and I talked to discuss plans for 2010 and planned to visit me in December, so I thought it would be a great pleasure to welcome him back. I got a surprise when one of my Master Rigan Machado other coaches was visiting Carlos and a surprise last minute I thought he wanted to come visit me in Austin with Carlos.
I note that Master Carlos Machado on facebook when he commented on the seminar this past weekend, it addresses a vital issue for me, and the common principles:
Carlos Machado: "Dear Friends Vandry BJJ, students, and most importantly, a true community of disciples in the martial arts lineage Machado. I want to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support of your instructor, my family, and the principles of what we want. dedication, loyalty and respect. It is a long term relationship that will last for generations to come. And I'm proud to say that you are part of the this! "

Master Rigan Machado followed by a post very nice as well:
Rigan Machado: "Brother Vandry! Thank you for the opportunity to meet so many people of Nice between students who are part of your academy! Carlos has made you a great martial artist, but your talent you brought to a level that few people could experience. You inspire others as you pass the lessons we have learned so close to our parents. It's a story that continues to this day, not only of the building, but preserving a legacy that goes far in the future. We are all making it happen right now! Now go train more! Do some exercises Guard X you learned when you visited me in California a few years ago! Make sure to thank Dr. Jeff BJJ, and Richard Marshall. They took good care of me, but I'll still make them do push ups if they mess over the years! Take care, my brother! "
