Bought a truck from a friend. CA plates, but bought here in Texas. No title. What documents are needed? NY friend who lived in CA for a bit, then moved to Houston sold me his truck. It has CA plates but I do not think it is recorded here. In addition, it has no title. What forms do I need? State of Texas used car sales documents? Paperwork CA? And what about the title? What do I need to get the thing all legal persons, in my name ... here in the state of Texas ... with the title?
Get your money. If your "friend" has not the title, it does not own the truck, and you can not legally sell it.
