What is the difference between the coupe and smart fortwo cabrio smart fotwo? What is the difference? How are they typically buy in British Columbia Canada (again)? Are they good first car? 16.
No, this is not a good first car in all honesty. I love these little cars to death. they are cool, safe, and get good mpg. Yes, they are safe. Take a look at their crash test ratings and see they are almost perfect. the car does not crash much. but note that I said "almost" perfect. when the car does get into a collision, the car tends to bounce violently like a bouncing ball which in turn affects the vehicle occupants. so its safe, and not so sure. I would not recommend it as a first car. The Cabrio has a sort of cloth top that slides along the back making it a bit of a convertible and the coupe is just a hardtop with a sunroof. insurance and cars in general in Canada are very expensive compared to the U.S., again, I do not recommend you get a smart car. Hope this helps
Cabrio should mean that there is a removable roof. (It may be a hardboard or canvas). My bike is bigger and heavier than that car. I would not be in it in the rain or snow, or in an accident. I do not know about reliability, but they are everywhere in Europe ... and I mean everywhere ...
Like a good first car at age 16, you will not like that, but an old Mercedes Benz 200D is excellent. They are cheap, built like a tank, and slow as molasses. They do not start when it's cold ... (If you have an excuse to sleep in these cold mornings), and insurance in a car like that should be cheap!
