One Ton Truck

I am particularly looking to buy a GMC or Chevrolet 3 / 4 ton truck or a. What are the differences between the two (the maximum load obvious aside) I should be aware? Every experience in any brand of truck could be useful.

Generally, the higher the load capacity of the most severe of the race, because of the stiffer springs than ton truck. Also, I think you need a dual wheels on a GM one ton, while the ton 3 / 4 is a standard axle.
