New CoupeThe new coupe Cadillac

Automaker Cadillac has a rich tradition of building exciting, very popular sedans and coupes. However, changes to its lineup over the past decade have resulted in a fleet of vehicles now consists exclusively of sedans, crossovers, and SUVs. The era of super size and Eldorado Coupe de Ville, vehicles long been synonymous with quality and excess Cadillac. Today, plans are underway to put in a cut to compete with their European rivals Mercedes, Audi and BMW. Please read on for more information on the CTS Coupe proposed derivatives.

The CTS Coupe has provided will not be a Cadillac Eldorado and will not be an updated version of the Coupe de Ville. Like a big two-door model medium, the CTS coupe will be more important than its European competitors, but much smaller than the previous cuts Cadillac.

An Introduction calendar year 2008

Scheduled for review for the 2009 model year, the CTS sedan will be the basis for the new coupe, so virtually all parts will be shared between the two cars with the majority showing differences in the amounts of the roof. Cash-strapped General Motors wants to produce the car badly, but they do not want to go overboard with the cost of development. Thus, the coupe and sedan will share an overwhelming majority of the same components.

Disadvantages for the new coupe

The CTS Coupe has at least two drawbacks to it. First, the luxury coupe market is not very broad and it has been reduced. Second of all, the CTS is larger than its European competitors more along the lines of the greatest cars of Mercedes and BMW. This could be confusing for buyers, especially if the CTS is designed for smaller cars, but is larger with bigger models.

For the new coupe upsides

On the positive side, the CTS Coupe will launch the opening of an important and profitable market for Cadillac cars. As part of its ongoing call to mobilize the younger buyers, Cadillac CTS will in 2008 and beyond what the Escalade has done earlier in the decade: the average age of Cadillac owners. Over the buyer, the more likely to have Cadillac as clients in the long run.

Woe money GM could scuttle the project

Of course, GM's financial difficulties could cast doubt on the new model, although the CTS sedan is a go. Moreover, it is not clear yet how many cups Cadillac would have to sell to make a profit. However, if the car is built, it could still mark the commitment of GM to build vehicles that customers really want, a complaint that some consumers have expressed reasons why they left the general backwardness.

The smart money says the CTS Coupe will be given the green light. Cadillac needs this car and consumers want a luxury coupe to light up their world. Who better than Cadillac?
