Mercedes Clk Sport

My father has a Mercedes CLK, and we just discovered a "sport" mode. We tried and we feltthe stiffer suspension and there is more torque at lower rpm. We think it could be our imagination, and I would like to have feedback from you guys. The switch was two-letter "W" (idk what it is) and "S" (I guess that means the sport). Thank you!

I have a '09 Grand Edition CLK350 Cab. and the dealer told me in sport mode, the car from a standstill, starting in first gear instead of 2nd gear as in comfort mode. Sport mode sharpens the throttle response. Regarding the suspension, I do not think it becomes more rigid.
