What happens if I exceed the limit on my insurance limited mileage? How do insurers know?
If you have a limited mileage policy, so they asked you your mileage at the time the policy started or renewed.
If you reach your mileage limit, you are more assured. You must notify your insurer, they charge you an additional premium to continue your policy.
If you do not tell them, all claims will be rejected. and, although you will see as an insured on the police computer, you are technically uninsured, and can be prosecuted as such.
they know your mileage at the beginning of your policy ?????
Well you have just answered your question xx
Just call them and let them know it probably will not cost you much extra, and certainly not as much as if you had to make a complaint and they discovered they.
Your PASSWORD will last years on the mileage check can it.They now.
If you have exceeded your limit specified, then the victim of an accident, the insurance will calculate the% of demand, they are responsible. ie.If you tell them you'll do 10,000 miles a year and then only bump after 30 000, so they may be paid only one third of demand.
