Isuzu Motors and Mitsubishi Corporation earlier announced the creation of a joint venture called the Isuzu Automotive Europe GmbH (IAE). According to manufacturers, the newly created system is intended to increase sales in Europe. This could be done by increasing operational efficiency and strengthening of the sales in the territory.

The initial capitalization of the PSI is 2.4 million euros, or about 370 million yen. Isuzu and Mitsubishi will be both at 50 percent of the sum mentioned. The manufacturers have jointly deployed distributors in Benelux, Spain and Portugal and Germany / Austria to set up sales channels. However, sales management and marketing for these markets will be carried out independently by different companies and Isuzu parts. Isuzu will supply light trucks in Isuzu Operations Thailand Co., Ltd. will offer pickups.

The integration of sales channels for light trucks and vans will etch an important step for automakers. Given the joint venture, Isuzu Operations Thailand and Isuzu will begin to outsource the management of IAE distributors, collecting market information and development of new markets. With that existing business, Isuzu and Mitsubishi expect to double sales of light trucks and vans on the European market from 16,000 units to 32,000 units within three years.

Isuzu had previously denied rumors that he asked General Motors to withdraw from two joint ventures that produce diesel engines and replace the U.S. carmaker with a new partner, Toyota. "There is no discussion about this," the spokesman Isuzu Kouitsu Mabuchi said.

It may be recalled that daily Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported earlier Isuzu ask former GM's largest shareholder to sell 60 percent stakes it holds in DMAX and Isuzu Motors Polska Ltd. Sp. Poland. The newspaper also reported that Isuzu President Yoshinori Ida proposes the plan of GM Rick Wagoner CEO. Finally, the partnership project of the automobile came into existence and the result has been a powerful 6.6-liter V8 diesel. It was conducted DMAX and is mounted on the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks full size. On the other hand, the 1.7-liter engines in Poland have been used to power several cars under the Opel brand.

The paper also added that Isuzu and Toyota continue to supply GM. However, Toyota plans to use the plants in the future to serve the demand in Europe and the American automobile market diesel vehicles expands.

Apart from the joint venture, Isuzu is also focusing on the production of the state of the art vehicles. It boasts of line i-Series pickup that debuted at the New York International Auto Show in 2005. The i-Series replaced Hombre, who has been in production since 2000. i-Series, which shares a platform with GMs mid-size pickups, is built at the plant in Shreveport, Louisiana. Plant said product Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon.

The manufacturer, which is famous for its quality Isuzu auto body parts in California , is absorbed to strengthen its i-series sales. Since its introduction until February last year, Isuzu has sold 1,377 units of the i-Series. This information has been disclosed by the automotive news.

This year, Isuzu contained two additional vehicles for the i-Series - the i-290 - 2.9 L Atlas LLV I4 and the i-370 - Atlas LLR 3.7L I5. With companies operating in the automobile, it is expected that sales of i-Series and other vehicles Isuzu will increase to a higher level.
