Hybrid Rebate

Hybrid RebateWhy Tax Refund hybrid eliminated?

Apparently, the tax rebate on hybrids in the U.S. is finally disposed of:

"To get the tax credit you'll have to wait to buy the vehicle until after January 1. If you buy one of the first 60,000 qualifying vehicles that your builder sell or buy in the first three months after the quarter in which the total sales is reached, you will get the maximum rebate allowed for that vehicle. After that, the tax credit begins to eliminate. "

This is the origin of the discount on Toyota and Lexus hybrids be completely eliminated October 1st:

Does anyone know the reasoning behind this start-up phase? It makes no sense to me. It seems that we should continue to encourage the purchase of hybrids regardless of how many were sold.

Probably because the stupid politicians feel that once a certain number of hybrids are sold, they no longer need tax cuts to continue the success of sales.

I am madly speculating that I am not aware of the situation of the United States. Here in the United Kingdom which is often called "pump priming" money is given to new developments (not just technology). It is never intended to be permanent. The idea is simply to help establish a new development not to freeze the fund.

It is to encourage the purchase of hybrids, but not break the bank on it. I suppose the theory is that once they are quite popular, they should be able to survive on their own. aspect is obviously manufacturer and welfare for domestic manufacturers who have fallen behind in hybrid technology.

The tax rebates and incentives exist to encourage certain behavior desired by the government, but people can not do otherwise. It became clear that this behavior will be without an incentive, then the gap is the discount. (Which is not the same as raising taxes)

W

because if you want a hybrid, it's perfect!

Why do you think I should help you to buy?

Would you support a tax break so that I can buy parts for my race car?

because they have to finance tax breaks for Hummers somewhere

and people need to compensate Hummers - the original slogan was "Restore your manhood." http://www.sierraclub.org/compass/2006/0 ...

Because we have an oil man for president.

If you buy a Hummer more than 6,000 books that you can get a tax credit of up to $ 100,000.00.
