Hybrid Cars

Hybrid CarsHybrid car ....?

The companies make hybrid cars so that we can spend less money on gas so we do not harm the environment, right?. Well think about it, what is the point to pay 30 Grand for a hybrid car when you can have the same car (not hybrid) for probably less than 10 Grand?. I mean, your still going to waste money because the money that you do not pay for gas, you pay for the car. The only thing that hybrid cars do not do is harm the environment, but as far as your money, you spend the same money or more per year. Anyone agree?.

Someone has not done their math, that's all. Personally, I do not even pay $ 10,000 for something that will be virtually worthless in 10 years. And I do not particularly pay $ 30,000 for something that will be worth $ 19,000 at this time if I drive off the lot!

I deliver drugs to a pharmacy. In January 2005, we bought a brand new Civic Hybrid. At 55K, it has actually paid for itself. If you drive a lot, hybrid cars will be good for you. However, if you are driving to the grocery store and back, probably not. They also lack the power for the hills. Report Abuse

hyrbids are the way of the future and you can get hired or used a little lightly and older with less than 30 and the Civic Hybrid is 26 with options on it Report Abuse

What to do with battery after he died? On the landfill?
Then, the battery is located behind the gas tank and cable through the frame rail. Fire hazard in the event of a collision? I think so! You need gloves just to remove high voltage battery, to work on the car! Flag

not .. because after some years the car to pay for the difference and more ... thinking.

I agree on one point. I own a Honda Civic Hybrid 2003. We got a tax break for buying an efficient car, if it helped. And we save about 30% on gas. The price of gasoline goes up, the more we return the price difference, but I really doubt we'll get there before we finally trade the car in.

However, we bought it because it was the responsible thing to do for the environment, not because we save money.

Just throw this one out. Tree huggers your hy-brid is four years and the battery is dead last $ 10,000 will not hold a charge. How environmently certain is that the battery? Just throw it in the ground fill do not think so! Nissan gets hybrid next one year, mostly Toyota Synergy Drive technology

Right now hybrid cars are so expensive because it is a fairly recent invention. Like any new piece of technology, it is expensive and others are doing. Fortunately, one day, hybrid cars will drop in price and then I'll buy one. I agree with you that they are expensive, but there is a challenge that we will not damage the planet almost as much!

I agree with you. That is why my new car is a small one. But I could not afford a hybrid vehicle. And the amount I drive it would not be in my interest to do so.

You apparently are not using a calculate accurate.

Ford Escape Hybrid starts around $ 26,000 @
non-hybrid Escape starts @ about $ 20,000

Your stay federal tax is $ 2,600 for the Escape Hybrid.
It may also be tax relief of the State (Illinois, I think, is another $ 500)
