Hybrid Car Rental

Four user want to take a big trip about 12 different parks, but with gas being expensive, we would rent a hybrid car. Would it be cheaper for us all to have a hybrid car lease or rental costs do not exceed what we would lose money on Gas (our cars get about 25mpg average). Are there other options?
