Hankook Winter TiresRecommendations on good winter tires?

Hello everyone
Well, now's the time of the year and am looking to buy 4 winter tires for my Mazda Protege 1999. I live in Ontario, and winters can be pretty rough. This is my first car and, unfortunately, I do not know what is good and what is not. I did some research, but find it really overwhelming! Can anyone give me some advice or recommendations. Some quotes that I was in my price range were for Kumho, Yokohama, Bridgestone (UltraGrip and Winterstorm), and Hankook.
Can anyone offer advice?
Thank you very much!
Cindy

If it does not matter what kind, I would go for the Michelin X-Ice. Good for snow and ice.

I would say the Bridgestone Blizzak. I have been using them on my Mustang Ford for years and drive them through the winter, so rear-wheel drive and high HP. They are the best snow tires I met.
