What is the greenest car you can get what is a hybrid? I read that this car can do 30mpg but thats as waste, because this car called 1.9l TDI golf does (sometimes) 60mpg sometimes more! What is the best hybrid you can get ... for MPG?
Toyota Prius ..
The best hybrids, you can get is the Honda Civic Hybrid and Toyota Prius, at 40-45 miles per gallon, but the city mileage. Highway mileage is actually about 35 miles per gallon, and even worse if you happen to have a lead foot or live in an area of hills or mountains as I do.
However, the article is partly right. The Volkswagen diesel does better gas mileage, unless you do nothing but drive into the city all day and run the Toyota electric power. Here are some statistics for cars:
- Hybrids -
Honda Civic Hybrid, 40-45 miles per gallon
Nissan Altima Hybrid, 35-33 miles per gallon
Saturn Aura Hybrid, 24-32 miles per gallon
Toyota Camry Hybrid, 33-34 miles per gallon
Toyota Prius 45-35 miles per gallon
- Diesel -
Volkswagen Beetle Diesel, 48-52 miles per gallon
Volkswagen Jetta Diesel, 41-47 miles per gallon
Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel, 41-47 miles per gallon
The diesels are a little better or worse mileage in the city, and much better mileage road. In addition, the hills and leadfoots phases because diesels do come with a lot more torque than gas engines of similar size. This also means that you can pull a trailer with them, unlike a hybrid. In addition to these advantages, diesel to cost less than hybrids to buy, cheaper to maintain, are as reliable or more and are easier and less costly to repair.
If you need an SUV, there are more hybrid SUV diesels. In addition, hybrid SUVs typically get a better return than diesel SUV, but with much less torque, power and towing capacity trailer. When you enter more than SUVs, they are roughly equal in terms of mileage, but hybrids have their drawbacks still standard.
In other words, if you want to save money, buy a small car diesel. There are too many advantages to a diesel hybrid to purchase a hybrid makes sense. If you are looking for a small SUV, then go for a hybrid if you want to save gas or live in a city, a diesel if you want to use it for transporting people and cargo or a trailer and live in the country.
If you have questions about these or any other cars, please feel free to ask.
Hiya greenest is the Toyota Prius. At least in a constant production steady.
Since when are hybrids "green"?
You know about these harmful to the environment / non-recyclable batteries ... right?
