Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) "YourMPG" database revealed that diesel vehicles have higher mpg figures than those displayed on new car window stickers. The detailed findings were incorporated into the EPA "Final Technical Document", which has the new fuel economy labeling rule.

The YourMPG "data covers 221 drivers quantify their diesel fuel consumption and give their own real-world MPG to the Internet database. The data, compiled by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, are compared with real-world data with calculations in fuel economy for new cars. EPA document states in part, "As can be seen, diesels appear to perform better relative to their label fuel economy, outperforming the label by 4.3 percent."

The document also reveals that the diesel was the only energy source that offered an increase mpg in the real world. In fact, gasoline vehicles showed a decrease of 1.4 to 1.7 per cent between. In addition, hybrid vehicles have fallen by more than 8 percent compared to their label fuel economy today.

"It has long been known that the diesel engine combustion and more fuel efficient internal ever produced, typically providing 20-40 per cent more fuel than other technologies," said Allen Schaeffer, executive director of the Diesel Technology Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting diesel technology. "These reports of actual diesel drivers across the country reaffirm the effectiveness of diesel fuel higher, and help consumers to make future decisions Buying when the next generation of clean diesel vehicles arrives over the next several models. "

With the rising price of gasoline, some auto enthusiasts prefer better fuel economy. However, their performance is just going along with the consumption of fuel. That's why some fans are turning to diesel engines that have all this and more. The industry analysts say that diesel engines have better fuel economy and performance. It is also more reliable compared to gasoline engines.

Recently, automobile manufacturers have announced a number of vehicles powered by diesel. In addition, car manufacturers have reassured consumers that they will be more diesel options in their future lines. An increased diesel revolution should start in 2008. Volkswagen auto parts are now updated to complement the changes sought. In addition, performance parts Jeep Liberty advance further to face with the revolution.

At the recent meeting in Los Angeles Auto Show, Volkswagen and DaimlerChrysler was a joint venture to produce powerful diesel-powered vehicles for Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Audi brands under the Bluetec label. BMW, Cummins, Honda, Nissan and GM also announced plans to produce their own light-duty diesel to the U.S. market. These vehicles will be available in early 2008.
