Evaluation of classic cars - SLR 5000 Torana? I need some advice on how to sell and value my SLR5000 Torana. His technique 138/75 I said is the 138th car made in 1975, but is a torana 1976, the year he was released. This is an LX SLR5000 and has a motor in it Kingswood. He welded plates in the back and one fire inbetween the two front seats and steering wheel switches - it was clearly running as a certain stage. Its in very good condition with a tiny patch of rust I see about 1.3 "long on the door.
Because they range from about 10K to 176K and I fell in love with the car completely, but circumstances have changed my life and I need to buy a house for me and my son to live in I have to start remember to sell and get the amount I can more.
If I can not get the value I at least want to put on the market that I hoped for, but do not know how to extract information relevant car. Thank you in advance
Do you have a link to an image of the car?
Im in Aus so I would try to help.
As you know, the price of muscle cars of the 70s has soared in recent years. Its possible to make lots of money on a classic well kept home after.
Now, when you say it has an engine Kingswood, you lose value. Anyone who pays a lot of money for a DSLR want it to be quite original.
Yet I wonder what engine is in it Kingswood, Kingswood as only had a 253 or A 308 equipped, and the SLR has a 308. Some Kingswood came out with a Chevrolet, but that would mean a change of gear (unless the block has been drilled to respond to a new M21)
In addition, the weld plates indicate that the cage half was installed, and the extinguisher is more than likely, the car has been run, as you point out. Has been repainted the car? Most race cars are damaged and have points where the number and names of sponsors go, so if it is repainted, is it the original color?
So, what color is the car? What wheels are set? Besides the engine, is the fleet? Does he care flares e bulge hood and rear spoiler, large tank, or is it a stock SLR5000 totally original?
Now, for the value, before I see the pictures I can not say. Your low price is probably right, and I have seen selling SLRs over you mention, however, I know not go that Sell high.
Do you have the parts to the car to the original? This will allow the value? Is it the car rego'd? Is it inusured? What is the value of insurance?
Come back and edit your post with a little more info and ill have another look!
Since you tell them to rust, then it did not restore it so i will be the bottom side of the scope. Miles and the state and if the number of game also come into play, it is worth what someone will give you inthatcondition. Perhaps 3000.00 to 12,000 by varibles. If the speedometer does not have imagined only 1000.00 because they lose their value without a specific mileage.
