Porsche Cayman has a higher mileage than BMW Z4 2.5si, 3.0i and 3.0si? Research on the Internet, I found that the fuel consumption of a Porsche Cayaman (in most European sites, eg http://www.porsche.com/spain/models/cayman/cayman/featuresandspecs /) is listed as 13.8 litres/100km (city) and 6.8 ltrs/100kms (highway), while in the BMW International website (http://www.bmw.com/com/en/index_low . html) you will find this figure (for version 3.0 SI): 12.6 ltrs/100kms (city) and 6.3 ltrs/100kms (urban). Other models, 2.5si, 2.5i are much more "fuel economy" that the 3.0si. So my question is why Porsche ¿U.S. claims that the Cayman does 23 mpg and 32 mpg (city - Hway, respectively), whereas in America / Europe / Anymarket BMW always claims the same figures: 20 mpg / 30 mpg (or 12.6 liters per 100 km and 6.3 ltrs/100kms) for the Z4 2.5Si when clearly as we see in the links above the Z4 has better performance than the Cayman, while in Yahoo! Cars, because figures given by USA Porsche, it seems that the Cayman has higher mileage? Thank you to those responding.
Here's your answer - there is no Z4 2.5 in the United States. The Z4 is also only available with the 3.0 in the non-M models - in two forms, one with 215 and another with 255 hp. We do not receive the Z4 better here.
Cayman base is 2.7 in the United States.
Overall engine - smaller + better aerodynamics (I think) would make you better mileage.
