Should I put a compressor on my BMW 325i? I have a 2001 BMW 325i and I'm looking for a little more power. The engine produced 184 HP stock. I learned a combination compressor intercooler / which will increase the production of 300 HP. Is that too much emphasis on the engine, or would it be OK?
Unless you have an engine tuner professional doing the work, and a comprehensive system of fuel that goes with the compressor, I would not do it. There are several reasons behind this. The number one being that if you bought a used E46 M3, you'll get all the goodies and the car is already built to handle all the power booster. Brake oversized tires, suspension, transmission, fuel system, etc. and you could easily find one for under $ 20k. It saves dollars for an M3, because all parties should work together and you save yourself a ton of headaches later.
I think he would be allowed to overeating because it will boost the efficiency.
On an all that said Jensen. BMW are the best N / A. If you want more power get a more tight diff.
