New eight-cylinder engine for BMW M3 Models The BMW M3 version of the Munich-based manufacturer, sports car popular BMW 3-Series compact luxury will have something new under the hood style. BMW Group has recently launched the details of its new V8 engine for the M3 2-door sports coupe and convertible.
The new 3.2-liter V8 engine straight six right features 8-cylinder, which is the first time for the models BMW M3. With more cylinders and more displacement capacity, this new engine for BMW M3 offers excellent performance and powerful at 430 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. amount of peak torque, marking its sports car characteristics. Although the V8 offers a powerful performance vehicle, the engine also offers lower exhaust emissions, like sports car competitor, the Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG also offers cleaner emissions from its Mercedes-Benz of exhaust . In fact, the new V8 engine meets the more stringent Euro 4 emission standard, and won the LEV II (low emission vehicle) certification.
The new BMW M3 V8 reached this low-emission certification because of the drivetrain technology as the engine management cam double VANOS variable, fuel injection system and regeneration of energy Braking which improves the efficiency of the V8 BMW M3 and the driving dynamics.
In the meantime, here are the engine specifications for a complete official press release of the new V8 BMW BMW M3:
- First eight-cylinder for the BMW M3 sports car.
- The supreme performance ensured by 309 kW/420 hp from 4.0 liters.
