2010 Audi A5 Preview

Introduction

Perfectly elegant and aggressive all at once, the A5 is Audi two door, four-seat luxury sports coupe. For 2010, an equally magnificent cabriolet model joins the lineup A5, with the added pleasure of open air cruising.

The A5 is available in four configurations: Coupe 2.0T quattro Couped 3.2 quattro Cabriolet 2.0T quattro and Cabriolet 2.0T FrontTrak. All 2.0T models are powered by a 211-hp engine new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, while the 3.2 quattro Coupe gets a 265-hp 3.2-liter V6 engine, both with direct fuel injection FSI functionality. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic with Tiptronic and available paddle shifters, and a multitronic CVT. The 2.0T versions are equipped with a standard package which includes Premium power sunroof (coupe only), upholstery alloy wheels 18 "leather, automatic climate control, satellite radio and an auxiliary input jack. A Premium Plus Package is standard on the 3.2 and available on the base 2.0T, adding Xenon Plus, LED taillights, heated front seats, tri-zone automatic control of temperature, remote universal garage door opener , Bluetooth wireless connectivity and Audi Music Interface with iPod integration. Standard safety features include six airbags, antilock four-wheel disc brakes with brake assist, stability and electronic traction control, restraint active anti-whiplash front head and a tire pressure monitor. Popular options include a S line Sport Package, Bang & Olufsen audio, voice-activated navigation and adaptive cruise control with braking guard assets.

For 2010, the Audi A5 resumed with minor adjustments to the standard and optional equipment. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine joins the range of engines and a new body style Convertible is offered in both front seats and AWD configurations. Security improvements include a new driver package with Audi side assist blind spot monitor and assist a rear backup camera.
