Antique Car Clocks

Posted on May 25, 2010.
Antique Car ClockseBay, antique clocks, etc. How can I make this case?

During lunch, I started a conversation with a guy who was selling old clocks that he had in his car. It turns out that the guy selling stuff at the flea market and it is an ordinary salesman. There is stuff all the time he said, and when I looked at the back of his car, he did not talk shit because when the clocks Nice, old, and some undoubtedly valuable.

I thought about selling things on eBay, but have no idea what the clocks are worth. (I had the phone guys.) I do not know basically how to make a bargain with this guy. I want to conclude an agreement with the supplier, not just for clocks, but for all its antiquity. But I can not ask a stranger at the front of the clock while trying to find a buyer on eBay, on the other hand I can not offer him cash with no idea what they are worth. A final buyer will pay a lot more (I think) that pawnbrokers and antique dealers trying to sell it local. How do I make a deal with this stranger? (It is comp. Illiterate)

Apart from the obvoius as indicated by the first responder .... which is the risk you take. You can search completed listings to see what similar items sold for, but you need to know details about what you are interested in buy-in ...

It is never a good idea to sell things that you do not know ....

If it is to sell them on the boot of his car, then they are stolen. Stay away from him! Do you really want to be involved in the sale of "hot commodity?"
