Alternative Energy Sources For CarsRunning unconventional: Alternative Energy Sources for Cars

It can be about money. People look for alternative sources of energy or alternative fuel for their cars today. A few months ago, the rising price of petroleum products were observed in almost everyone. With the money spent on increasing the pump, we try to look for alternative fuels for vehicles that may eventually lead us to more savings.

Cars or vehicles running on alternative fuels are generally operating on a fuel other than petrol or diesel. Over the years we have become witnesses car running on electricity, gasoline and hybrid electric car, or even solar energy. There are even cars using water to supplement their gas emissions through technology of water-gas.

There are several factors that contribute to the rise and the initiative of governments and manufacturers to produce alternative fuel vehicles. heavy taxes on fuel, particularly in Europe and tightening environmental laws are several contributing factors. There is a possibility of new restrictions on emissions of greenhouse gas emissions.

Since the cars are mostly running on fossil fuels that produce carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas emissions, the number of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere increases. It leads to the temperature rise resulting from global warming and climate change.

There are cars that are capable of running on LPG, solar, ethanol, fuel cells, hydrogen and compressed cars. It is also what we call hybrid cars. Cars running on liquefied petroleum gas or LPG runs on a mixture of propane and butane. The gas liquid hydrocarbon turn when compressed. Cars running on LPG can reduce fuel costs in half compared to gasoline and diesel. It is also said to reduce emissions of carbon monoxide.

Cars using solar energy convert sunlight into electricity. It can be used to power electric motors or produce fuels such as hydrogen. The solar panels are placed on the surface, usually on the roof of the vehicle. These solar panels can convert solar energy into electrical energy.

Ethanol is an alcohol produced by fermenting plant juices with high levels of sugar or cultures with high levels of carbohydrates such as wheat. Brazil has begun to convert sugar cane into ethanol in 1975. Since then, Brazil has registered 1.8 billion dollars by replacing their 200,000 barrels of oil consumption per day.

Brazil has already created 5.4 million ethanol-powered cars that are exported to Sweden and Japan. Because of this industry, they were able to provide 900,000 jobs to their people. The use of ethanol as fuel have also been able to reduce toxic emissions by 30% compared with other fuel vehicles invoiced.

cell cars, hydrogen fuel and oxygen in secret electricity and heat. Electricity can be used to power an electric motor and emissions and the heat and water. Car hydrogen powered cars are considered the ultimate clean. Since hydrogen-powered vehicles will produce heat and water vapor as a by-product, its emissions are considered friendly to the environment.

Hybrid cars use two different energy sources or motors. An example of a hybrid car is the Toyota Prius. It uses advanced technology to combine a small gasoline engine with an electric motor. At low speed, the car runs on any electric motor on the highway, both gasoline and electric motor is used. The battery is being recharged during the process.

Exploring alternative energy sources for cars is a way to adapt to rising fuel costs and to take active measures to resolve environmental concerns.
