Acura Maintenance Schedule

Acura Maintenance Schedulescheduled maintenance reminders Acura

I'm curious, how many of you Acura owners actually take your car to the dealers for regular maintenance done? Me has a TSX and my light is on B1. A1 for my service I took it to the dealer, but only had the oil change for $ 32, they would charge me $ 90 for the actual service is A1. I know B1 is to change the oil, tire rotation, and perhaps other tests and it will cost me $ 160. Should I get the tire rotation and oil change done separately or just fork over the $ 160 for them to do everything?

I have a TSX 06, bought new 11/17/06. It has 57,000 + miles on it. Can I take it to the dealer for service I trust them and they do a great job. They have done a guarantee that they noticed he had done when they checked the car. I have just had the A12-service to change oil and filter, tire rotation and balance, both filters changed and the car was handwashed. Since I am a loyal customer, they do not charge me this time.

I would trust the system and at the fork in the $ 160 for everything. Usually, since Acura should know their cars, they know what that usually does not go with the car, and are able to fix it. You can try to have a look at the car mechanic and make the appropriate hardware, but it is a story, if you do not have a regular mechanic you go.

We have a TL 2008 and our A1 light just came on. It was 5-6000 miles, so I guess the service is best for the A1 car instead of just replacing the oil.

A1 The service includes an oil change and tire rotation, and the owner's manual describes exactly what they will do. Much of the cost of service will be the man-hours put into working on the car and futile as the reset of the scoreboard that reads the oil life (screen multi-function).

Take service and save you the hassle of finding what they really need to do. It is not worth your time.

I take my car to my mechanic and he does regular maintenance. It is about half of what the Acura wants. I keep receipts of proof that the work was done.

In machine shops, it costs about $ 55 for oil changes with synthetic oil and 20-25 $ for the tire rotation.

The dealer is much cleaner, but mechanics is faster and less expensive.

Just fork over $ 160 in my opinion. Hypothetically, if something goes wrong, you can run to the dealer and will be happy to help you and give you a courtesy car! If something goes wrong with the mechanics, they do not care, just charge you more. If you have a system to monitor tire pressure on your TSX I suggest you rotate your tires at the dealership. This is because the small shops and private shops tend to spoil! Good luck. Also, if you have enough warm at the table over the 160 to wait and save up a few miles. Its worth it.
