Does this come with a new 2010 Pontiac Firebird? I know that Pontiac has been told to close its doors, but I keep hearing this rumor that a bird of fire of 2010 is coming soon. Is this true? If yes, how would it compete with the new Camaro, Shelby GT 500 and Challenger? Web addresses will help ..
Since Pontiac is closed the answer to that question is no. Discover what think. There is a catering company in Florida that Firebird will be the installation of kits on the new Camaro Firebird. So if you really want the Firebird and stickers on the outside and interior changes, then you can go. Otherwise, you might want to stick to the Camaro Camaro ... maybe even the new supercharged Z28!
No GM ended the Pontiac brand. There will be no new Pontiac outgoing.
In fact, if Pontiac is closed, this is not necessarily preclude GM introduced a Firebird in the future as one of its other brands such as Buick. I doubt it, but when Plymouth disappeared, even the Prowler became a Dodge, so who knows?
No, nada, never. GM says the Firebird did not come back in '02 when the Fbody pauses. They left the door open for a possible return Camaro. Pontiac is done and there is no place in the range of GM for another car rear-drive performance. Having basically the same two models was beautiful in the .... 80, but now it's not worth it. That is, in part, GM got in trouble in the last 10-15years, too many cars in the same re-badged as another model in their lineup. The Firebird would steal sales of the Camaro and vice versa while incurring costs of production for two vehicles. Not smart. I am a big guy Pontiac and it kills me to see the Firebird gone, but the car companies are in business to make $ $ $, bring the "bird will not do it for them.
